Longest Lasting Dry Mouth Lozenge with Complete Oral Hygiene
Patented Sustained Release Technology (SuRe®) Developed by Scientists and Dentists
Salese is a soft long lasting mint lozenge which continuously releases a natural ingredient which restores the moist mouth feel for hours in the mouth. An additional ingredient provide a fresh odor free mouth for the longest time by capturing odor causing compounds. Other ingredients kill and reduce bacteria in the mouth and neutralize acids from bacteria which causes tooth decay. Salese was developed by scientists who are experts in sustained release technology. They worked with dentists who are experts in dry mouth and oral hygiene.
In addition to Peppermint, Salese is available in Wintergreen and Lemon (Sensitive). Wintergreen essential oil is known to have anti-inflammatory benefits. Mild Lemon (Sensitive) is especially useful for moderate to severe oral inflammation where peppermint may be too strong.
As you move the lozenge around in the mouth, it slowly dissolves to release an ingredient to restore the moist mouth feel. The technology allows the incorporation of multiple ingredients to give a complete breath freshening and oral hygiene experience. Salese also has a natural ingredient to capture and eliminate odor causing sulfur compounds. Salese's continuous release of xylitol provides optimal reduction of bacteria; a xylitol candy lozenge gives a single dose of xylitol which is then ingested and thus not available for inhibiting bacterial growth. Peppermint is antibacterial, but only in sufficient amounts; only Salese provides this benefit. Bacteria secretes acids which causes cavities; only Salese provides an acid neutralizing natural ingredient. Only Salese provides added calcium for re-mineralizing tooth enamel.

"In my practice I treat a lot of patients suffering from xerostomia (dry mouth conditions), and over the years I have tried many different products with patients and have found few to be very effective. We have been using the Salese lozenges for over 6 years now and have found it to be one of the best products for treating xerostomia (dry mouth conditions) I have seen. It is especially attractive to patients because of its long lasting properties. Typically our patients tell us that the lozenges will last for many hours which is a big plus for them."

How Sustained Release (SuRe®) Technology Works in Salese
The scientists and dentists who created Salese realized that the only way to offer relief from dry mouth for hours and to provide a complete package for oral hygiene is if they provided continuous bathing of the mouth with the correct ingredients to handle the problems. The duration of a candy lozenge is too short to be effective. As a result, the scientists, who had 20 years of experience in sustained release technology, created the SuRe® Technology to make a lozenge which would last 1 to 4 hours in the mouth to effectively and continuously lubricate and moisturize the mouth and also provide oral hygiene, using multiple natural active ingredients.
The patented technology uses a matrix of the active ingredients in the form of a soft lozenge and holds it together with a cellulose polymer. All ingredients and polymer are edible. As one moves the lozenge around in the mouth, the surface layers of the matrix come off (dissolve), releasing the ingredients. This process continues until the lozenge has completely dissolved or the person decides to chew and eat the lozenge. This is shown below:

For that moist mouth feel, Salese continuously releases xanthan gum for hours of dry mouth relief. In addition, for good breath, Salese has znic to capture volatile sulfur compounds from bacteria, the cause of bad breath. Reducing bacteria is also important for oral health and good breath. Salese has 2 natural ingredients to accomplish this: 1. Peppermint and other essential oils are used to both kill bacteria and provide that minty taste; 2. Xylitol is added to inhibit bacterial growth. For further oral hygiene, bicarbonate is added to neutralize acids generated by bacteria which cause cavities, and calcium is included to help re-mineralize teeth. No other lozenge offers these advantages. The formulation of Salese provides a very good tasting minty flavor that offers long lasting relief for dry mouth, freshens breath and offers excellent oral hygiene.
For people with dry mouth, oral health is a problem since there is insufficient saliva to wash away bacteria. Bacteria is the source of the problem for gum disease, tooth decay and bad breath. The role of bacteria is shown below:

The SuRe® Technology not only offers the ability to release multiple ingredients, it offers the ability to deliver the correct amount of ingredients for the correct amount of time, as shown on the graph below:

Instructions for Using Salese
Use Salese anytime, anywhere for dry mouth relief
For best oral hygiene, use Salese following meals and snacks.
This prevents the drop in acidity of the mouth after any snack or meals which occur because you are also feeding bacteria when you eat and they produce acids, the cause of cavities.

For best results, allow lozenge to dissolve in the mouth without biting or chewing. Occasionally move lozenge around as you would with any lozenge in the mouth. Alternatively, you may park the lozenge anywhere in your mouth. You may remove or chew the lozenge at any time. For maximal lozenge life and longest relief of dry mouth, don't bite or chew.

Long lasting moisture
By Becky in Silicon Valley on September 7, 2011
Salese Wintergreen is the best dry mouth product I have found. No other has worked as well. I use the product because medications have caused my mouth to be dry and my dentist recommended it to prevent cavities. I have a friend with Sjogren's Syndrome and she has had great relief of dry mouth symptoms using Salese as well. It works a very long time.

Best dry mouth product there is
By Petra on February 15, 2014
I have the dreaded Sjogren's, a goofy name for a truly awful syndrome. Dry mouth is not only uncomfortable, over time it will ruin your teeth. Saliva is necessary to prevent decay, and without it it's only a matter of a few years before your teeth pay the price. I've tried every tab, spray, gel and rinse on the market. These tiny little discs do the trick in a way that no other product does. I'm not even sure why - but boy do they encourage my mouth to produce saliva. They are not marketed for overnight use, but that's what I use them for. I stick one between my gum and check and it usually lasts the majority of the night. I. Love. Them. Some nights I even have to swallow because I have saliva in my mouth. For those of you who don't realize how incredibly awesome that feeling is, count yourselves lucky. For those who do know what I'm talking about, please do yourself a favor and try these tabs at least once. Even if it ends up not being your thing, you don't want to leave any stone unturned when it comes to taking care of your dental health.

Dry mouth no more!
By DrOz "DrOz4u" on January 6, 2012
I ordered these for my wife after reading the reviews and I am happy to report that they have eliminated her dry dry mouth completely. She takes a sip of water and puts the lozenge in every other night before bed. I am glad I chose the lemon as she looked at the other flavors after the fact and said she would not have wanted to go to sleep tasting the other ones. Hope they help someone else out there.

This really works
By cinminnesota on May 9, 2011
This is a great product. I have tried the lemon and mint flavors and prefer the lemon. It is sweetened with Xylitol, which actually lowers the risk of cavities. All other sugar substitutes and sugar will cause cavities, sometimes very quickly if your mouth is dry and you suck on something while sleeping. I'm a dental hygienist; I see it all the time. I have also tried Oramoist and Salese not only moistens my mouth better, it feels more comfortable. I just wish it were more widely available to people without internet access.

My father has been using this product for the last several years daily; sometimes during the day and religiously at night. It is the only product that has provided effective relief. Salese Value Proposition
The key value proposition for Salese is that it offers dry mouth relief for the longest period as compared to any other lozenge.

Users often report continuous relief for 3+ hours

The second value proposition is fresh breath and oral hygiene benefits of Salese
Other dry mouth lozenges cannot do this.

The Salese is less expensive on a time per use basis:

Salese lasts 1 to 4 hours, depending on how "active" you are in moving the lozenge around in the mouth. A box of Salese contains 12 lozenges. Each box of Salese lasts a minimum of 12 hours to 48 hours.
Questions & Answers About Salese
Q.
Why are there 3 flavors of Salese?
A.
Some people with very dry mouth are sensitive to the peppermint sensation in their mouth. For those persons, Nuvora offers the Wintergreen Salese and the very mild Lemon Salese, designed specifically for the sensitive mouth.
Q.
What are the key ingredients in the lozenges?
A.
All of our lozenges are formulated with specific needs of the end user benefits in mind. While many ingredients are shared between many of our products, they are specifically formulated to achieve desired results. For ingredients refer to the Ingredient List for each of our products.
Q.
Do the lozenges stain teeth?
A.
No. Our lozenges are perfectly safe for daily use and they do not stain your teeth.
Q.
How many lozenges can be used during a day?
A.
In most cases 1 to 2 lozenges per day, after meals or snacks, along with regular brushing and flossing, will be sufficient to maintain good oral care. Salese users may require more based on their individual symptoms.
Q.
Are the products safe for children?
A.
Due to the small size of the lozenge it may present a choking hazard for small children. Please, use all necessary precautions and keep the lozenges away from small children. For older children the lozenges are safe to use.
Q.
Are there any contra-indications or cautions?
A.
All ingredients in our lozenges are FDA approved as food items and are GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe). We are not aware of any contra-indications or necessary precautions that should be taken. If you think you are having any negative effect, discontinue using the lozenges immediately and consult with your physician.
Q.
Is it Ok to bite or chew the lozenges?
A.
Although the lozenge is designed to rest in the mouth, it is perfectly safe to bite or chew the lozenge. The ingredients will be released in a very short period of time and you may notice a sudden burst of flavor in the mouth.
Q.
What if the lozenge breaks apart?
A.
In some cases the lozenge may start to break apart towards the end of the usage time. You may chew, swallow or spit the pieces out. All of the ingredients in our lozenges are FDA approved as food items and are GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe). Please note, that lozenges breaking apart is not a product defect, but can happen when the structure of the lozenge wears thin.
Q.
What is unique about the lozenge?
A.
Unlike toothpaste or mouth rinse, the lozenges release the beneficial ingredients over an extended period of time. As a result, they kill more bad breath bacteria and eliminates volatile sulfur compounds which causes bad breath.
Q.
How do the lozenges work?
A.
As the lozenge is moved around in the mouth the beneficial ingredients are released. The more frequently the lozenge is moved around the more rapid the ingredients are released. Conversely, the less the lozenge is moved around the slower the ingredients are released.
Q.
How long do the lozenges last?
A.
The lozenges are designed to last about an hour. Based on how frequently the lozenge is moved around in the mouth it may last a little longer or shorter. Anything plus or minus 15 minutes is still considered to be optimal.
